Zero Waste Initiative
Nothing is Thrown Out
Partnering with the Penn State EcoReps, Net Impact is currently working on creating a 100% environmentally sustainable environment the Beaver Stadium sports complex.
How it Works
Because our stadium allows no outside food or drink, Stadium Management is able have a direct control over what kind of waste is produced in the stadium. The current goal is to use this tight control to produce no waste after games - only raw material and compost ready to be reused.
What Can You Do?
Volunteer! Before the stadium-wide initiative is launched, management is running trials in the President's Suites and the Nittany Lion Club to find out how the project would work on a larger scale. Get involved to help football fans learn about how Penn State plans to make a 100,000+ person stadium go completely green.
