It's Up to Us

Raise awareness on America’s long-term fiscal and economic challenges

Up to Us is a program that empowers students to educate their peers on our long-term national debt, how it could affect their economic opportunities, and what their generation can do to have a voice in raising awareness of our fiscal challenges!

Through our annual competition, selected teams will receive training and funds to run tailored campus campaigns to educate their peers and inspire collective action. The winning team will receive $10,000 and be nationally recognized on stage at the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) annual meeting.

Up to Us enables students to give their generation a voice. Join our efforts and get involved.

AS PART OF THE UP TO US CAMPAIGN, THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES ACROSS THE COUNTRY MOBILIZED TO GIVE THEIR “TWO CENTS” ON THE LONG-TERM NATIONAL DEBT AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR THEIR ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FUTURE.

National Debt

To many American Millennials, the national debt may seem like an abstract concern. But your generation actually has the most at stake when it comes to policy decisions about our country’s long-term fiscal and economic future. The decisions made by our leaders today will affect your economic opportunity, earning power, your ability to pay off student loans, buy a home or start a business. The millennial generation has an essential role to play in this debate.

Up to Us is an opportunity for students to educate their peers on these issues in a nonpartisan way, empowering their generation to have a voice in the conversation about how we address the long-term fiscal and economic challenges facing our nation.
